Urban plan for the new area of Kokoshkino district has been developed according to the surrounding and the landscape. The central goal was to generate acity plan where each building would receive the maximum solar radiation possible during the cold russian winters, allowing the use of photo voltaic paneling where previously unfeasible.. 

The efficiency of the PV panels was further enhanced by merging them with the window shuttering, generating a system that allowed them to bothtrack the sun, and when angled vertically,shed collected snow.
